Summer Activities in B’town and Surrounding Cities
There is much to do in Bloomington during the summer! The City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department has a complete program guide to suit every taste and age. Visit their website at www.bloomington.in.gov/parks and browse through their many activities. The IU School of Music will have concerts and recitals (visit: http://www.music.indiana.edu/events/). If transportation is not a problem, you might also want to check nearby cities such as Madison (a historical town near the Ohio River and two hours from Bloomington), the museums in Indianapolis, the shops in Nashville (a quaint town in Brown County around 20 minutes from Bloomington), Brown County State Park (http://www.browncountystatepark.com/), and Lake Monroe.
The IC’s newsletter will not be sent on a weekly basis during the summer; however, announcements that might be of interest to our readers will be shared as appropriate.
