Priority Dates

Priority Dates

We recommend submitting your application materials so that we receive them by the following priority dates. We will review applications received after the priority date on a space-available basis, but applying by the priority date ensures that you will receive maximum consideration for admission and financial aid from IU. You should also review the IU Office of Scholarships timeline.

Entry Term Priority Date
Fall

November 1 is the priority date for admission and deadline for Automatic Academic Scholarship consideration. All application materials for admission must be received by November 1 to meet the scholarship deadline.

Students who meet the November 1 deadline may submit updated SAT or ACT scores by January 15 for reconsideration of Automatic Academic Scholarships.

April 1† is the final priority date for freshman applicants for the fall term.

Spring September 15†
Summer II* January 1

All materials received after this date will be reviewed solely at the discretion of the International Admissions.

*Due to requirements on full time enrollment, international applicants are only eligible to apply for Summer II and must take a minimum of 6 credits during this term.

We’ll let you know if you’ve been accepted four to eight weeks after we receive all of your application documents. You can also check your admission status online.
